(not so) SMART COACH

so i decided i was going to begin training for a marathon.  i found one 15 weeks away.  it also has a 15K and half marathon race choice so we’ll see what happens. anyway.  i did my best internet researching to try and find a plan that was both do-able and challenging.  i have set the goal to run a 4 hour to 4 hour 26 minute marathon time.  which isnt fast but i get that.  its fine.  i want to improve my distance ability AND my overall time.  is this possible?  i would like to be able to run a marathon FASTER than my current 5k time.  so i found this “smart coach” thing on active or cool running or something and plugged in the info it wanted and it seems like my runs are S-L-O-W!  there are definitely some long ones but its SLOW.  maybe there is a method to their madness?  so im not sure what the calculator thinks my final marathon time will me.  i am going to do some more investigative reporting at the library i think but any advice would be greatly appreciated!
