old and slow, im fast and new

triathlon class part two. so being one of the “good” runners is definitely not something i have ever been referred to. this truly is a beginners class. which is awesome. there are about 4 people faster than me. 2 of whom are boys. craziness. most are slower. i think its great that so many people are out there “tri-ing” even if they aren’t runners. but i am glad its not me. it definitely is a huge confidence builder and it just feels good to be good. same run tonight as this morning. but it was hot. super freakin hot. and guess what! i tried to go for a swim this morning after the run 6:30 AM- pool closed, tried to go this afternoon 4:30 PM- pool closed, and after the run 7:00 PM- pool closed. i need to find an indoor pool.

the new best day of my life

well its official….. day 1 of 84 of triathlon training. yay! oh i loved it. the whole thing makes me so happy. i love the early morning thing. i love the working with 10 other people thing. i love the structure. i love the challenge. i love the friends! class today was filled with new faces but most of all some old faces i love. so happy christian and kristen were there. ive decided to give us new names. cdawg, kk, and mdub. cause thats how awesome we are. im serious about training and look forward to my first olympic. i am also serious about having fun. class was super crowded but im excited for timbo slice. this class is his baby and im so glad there are others falling in love with triathlon. im excited for their excitement. the class was strong. so i am thankful that there will be lots of people there to look up to and to push me to bring my performance to the next level. the run was a run i was familiar with. 3 miles of flat, hard, asphalt. i didnt give 100% this morning because i wanted to make one of the newbies feel welcome. i know my first (second, third, fifteenth, whatever) workout i felt like killing myself or quitting and there was NO one slow like me in any of the classes so that stunk. but hey it made me HAVE to be better. i feel awesome!
