this was a tempo run and my splits are as follows
warm-up: 1st mile: 12 minutes
2nd mile: 10:30
1/2 mile jog: 6.5 minutes
3rd mile: 10:40
1/2 mile jog: 6.5 minutes
Cool-Down : 5th mile: 14.5 minutes
the smart coach called for a 1 mile warmup, 2 x 1600 at 10:43 with 800 jogs and a 1 mile cool down. so i am hoping i did it right? i am not really sure, i am definitely new to all of this. just a few days ago i learned what “negative splits” meant. hehe. this run should have been done on thursday and so we will see how my long run tomorrow goes.
i took two days off. one accidentally. one on purpose and my body just doesnt know what to do. it was not good and has not been pretty. i wanted to take a rest day on thursday so i could catch up on some sleep i had been missing. i planned on going on friday but passed out late on thursday night didnt set any alarms and woke up in a PANIC 7 minutes before work started. ahh! i didnt teach PE this week and i didnt have training with tpain and i didnt have any two a days so my body really has no idea what to do with itself. i have my long run tomorrow, hopefully a nice swim or bike monday night (7am drs appt monday) and then back to the grind on tuesday. with my new tri class starting wednesday morning. yay! after careful consideration i have decided to not use the scale on a regular basis. at least until the 27th….. we will see how it goes!
